[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
“Quick Hawk” is the name of this photo taken a few minutes ago behind our house in the trees near our birdfeeder. As the sun was going down, this hawk was vigorously chasing a small snowbird in the trees. He was on unsuccessful and resting when I took this photo using a high I. S.O. of 3200.
I tried to reduce the noise with limited success. It would be greatly appreciated with someone could identify this type of hawk.

Hi Jim,
for the poor light you had to deal with, you have done well with this capture as the even somewhat washed out looking(typical for the high iso used)colour shows the bird's eye colour very well.About the bird it is one of two with red eyes I know of and it is either a cooper's hawk or a sharp shinned hawk,I'm leaning towards it being a cooper's.A good photo and thanks for sharing it with us. Bob
