hello friends, today in afternon i have done
my best in-flight photo, the Baltimore Oriole

photo shot with my Fujifilm bridge camera
in RAW, ISO400, Flash, Flash correction + o.7

from All About Birds website :

http://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/baltimore_oriole/id

« With its brilliant orange and black plumage,
the Baltimore Oriole's arrival is eagerly awaited
by birders each spring migration. Its preference for
open areas with tall trees has made it a common
inhabitant of parks and suburban areas.

The "orioles" of the Americas were named
after similarly-appearing birds in the Old World.
The American orioles are not closely related to the
true orioles in the family Oriolidae. They are more
closely related to blackbirds and meadowlarks.
Both New and Old world orioles are brightly
colored with red, yellow, and black; have long tails
and long pointed bills; build hanging, woven nests;
and prefer tall trees around open areas. »

Merci

Asbed

I am so happy! My favorite bird. I saw them in Ohio as a child but never after age 7 in 1952....besides an occasional glance here and there in a magazine...this is my first real look from a professional. How lucky for you! Your best ever!
Bob

Hello Asbed,
A beautiful bird well caught in flight. This capture of a Baltimore Golden Oriole is sharp, taken from a fine POV with fine timing and well composed against a superb OOF late spring BG of blue sky and emerging leaves.

Hi, dear Asbed.
Only half an hour I have come back for a shot business trip and in a few minutes I got to University on lecture. And I was very glad to see your link and to watch your amazing in-flight shot. It is wonderful in every aspect. First of all it is fine timing and superb sharpness of the bird image. Exposure of the shot and reproduction of the bird's colouration are spot on too. Even compose of the shot is great desptire the fact that you have pictured the bird in fast flight. Bravo. My kind regards.
Alexei.

Bonjour Asbed,

La prise de vue permet de voir les détails et les couleurs de cet oriole de baltimore en vol. Les branches cadrent bien l'oiseau. L'image est claire et nette. La qualité de la lumière rehausse les couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.
