Life cycle: perennial
Flowers: red (late spring)
Size: 3-5 inches
Light: sun-part shade
Large flowers, large petals. They don't last long, but they're eyegrabbers while they last. The hairy foliages pushes up in early spring, grows nice and bushy by late spring, then goes into decline and disappears by mid-summer.
