hello friends, these last weeks it is raining and raining,
here is another photo from my archives, it was shot
on a bad luminosity, late afternoon around 5pm,
in november here in Canada its going dark

From Hinterland Who's Who website :

« Mallards are one of the first ducks to arrive
back on the breeding grounds in spring.
They are adaptable and may nest near a lake,
pond, river, or even woodland pool. Their preferred
habitats, however, are the natural grasslands that
surround little reed-ringed sloughs, or marshy areas,
and potholes on the prairies.

Even in the heart of many major cities,
half-tame Mallards waddle ashore from park lakes
to take food from the hands of visitors.

The Mallard is a typical member of the
surface-feeding group of ducks, known as
the dabblers. It is often seen in the tipped-up
position with its tail held vertical. Although the
bird can dive in an emergency, it rarely does so. »

Merci

Hello Asbed,
A remarkable shot for the low shutterspeed, but you acheived fairly good sharpness and the low November lighting has given a superb rosy tinge to the water. The POV and its reflection have made this a nice in-flight of a male Mallard.
Here it is hot and we need rain!
Thanks,
Ivan

and here beautiful composition with warm natural colours, the flight with the reflection is very good

Hi Asbed,
A nice capture of this mallard taking off. Very well composed. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hello Asbed!

I hope the rain will soon cease, and you can enjoy your new super shots 1/2000s.

Good picture despite the brightness quite a challenge complicated.

Shows movement in the joint!

Thanks!

Regards

Jesús

Bonjour Asbed

Pierre
