[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Folks , today I have this tiny little goldenrod crab spider , this little spider is a baby of I could not say how long , it has been a rather lean year for crab spiders , I have not seen to many , but in this small area I seen three yesterday morning , all of coarse Babies , I say of coarse because if there are babies emerging than it is quite reasonable to assume that there are no adults presently , the mother spider will actually die guarding the nest , when these little spiders are born their parents have already expired... though the goldenrod crab spider is named for the flower that they are commonly seen on , I would have to admit that I have yet to see one sitting on goldenrod , perhaps my eyes have just failed me on that but I have been watching the golden rod and have not seen a single spider on it to date , I will be watching a bit more intently now that I know that the new generation is emerging , perhaps I can get a shot of one sitting in goldenrod this year :-)

this image is shot at a 1:1 reproduction ratio , the insect was tiny so small that they where quite hard to find , I cropped this one along the width as a 14x11 print size , but otherwise my PP was very slight , a bit of color tweaking , and a small denoising , plus resize /sharpen for upload...

Hi Art, your shot is awesome! If crab spiders were able to and given a choice to advertise, I am sure they would have chosen this shot as their profile picture. :)

Well, your capture shows amazing depth of field.. The colors are really nice (I am sure Miss Piggy would love this photo) and so is the background. The POV you have chosen gives a good view of your model and great DOF. Good sharpness and nice details.
