Good light and colour, the surrounding foliage gives a good sense of habitat. The eye seems on the borderline of focus, maybe a little selective sharpening here would improve it?

Well captured, with the colour and form of eye and berry repeating. This really makes this picture work for me. Similarly the arc shapes of head (tow-coloured "brow") and BG leaves. DOF is maximum on leaves, not the bird, which is very slightly OOF. In focus leaves bottom right slightly distracting, as is the BG, which is a bit cluttered. Thought about a tighter crop, but then the direction of gaze would be directly against the frame. With the given pose, this is probably the best.

Nice image Joseph. The eye and the berries compliment each other. I first thought the clutter on the left might have been better cropped out but then after a while thought it actually shows the berries have already been eaten. TFS, regards, Rob

This is very nice Joseph, such a great scene. The details are great and the pose is well captured. I think you did very well making what could be a busy BG unobtrusive. The rear of the bird is a little overexposed but not so it is distracting.

Wow... fantastique photographie Joseph quelle merveille je suis un peu jaloux :-) jolie composition et les couleurs sont splendides, les blancs sont un peu brûlés mais n'enlève rien à la beauté de la scène.

PS: merci pour l'identification de mon oiseau inconnu, un ami ornithologue en est arrivé aux mêmes conclusions, il s'agissait du viréo mélodieux, j'ai corrigé le texte sur ma photo.
