Wow, you were so close! This is unheard of here.
As soon as they get the slightest sense that someone is around they are gone!
Unfortunately the light wasn't on your side, but to be able to get so near was just incredible.

That is a beautiful picture, Sarolta. The golden reflections on the water are exquisite. Great shot of the deer in that twisted position to drink. Sharp details, gorgeous colors, great composition. Well done and TFS. : )

A really nice shot!. It was good to get so close, as you have a great natural composition, I like the light because you are picking up the gold reflections off the water onto the deer.

Great shot! I like the saturated colours reflected on the water, offering a good contrast to the fawn's earth tones.
The deer on Vancouver Island are on the tame side too.
