Snowberry Clearwing or Bumblebee Moth
Hemaris diffinis

Order Lepidoptera / Suborder Macrolepidoptera / Superfamily Sphingoidea
Family Sphingidae -- hawk moths, hornworms, sphinx moths / Genus Hemaris Dalman

This moth ranges across all of temperate North America, and can be seen flying between April and September. Its preferred habitat is open fields, gardens, and stream sides; it can also be found in most suburban areas. The adult moth likes to feed on nectar from lantana, honeysuckle, snowberry, orange hawkweed, thistles, lilac, and Canadian violets. It uses its long proboscis, which is curled under the head when not feeding, to siphon nectar from the flower’s nectary. Most members of this group are diurnal, or active during the daytime.

J'aime bien votre composition. C'est sympa et inhabituel de voir l'insecte quitter la jolie petite fleur. Belle réussite d'avoir la fleur et le bourdon dans le focus. Le fond très coloré me plait aussi. Merci Luc.

I agree Luc it is sad to see people leave, but time is a presious thing and it can be difficult to fit every thing in to it in a balanced way :((

A great shot. I like the light and colors.
The sharp flower and the moth leaving it, whit nice movments, not going to far out of focus.
