[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The reason for our quick trip to the north country was three fold. First was to see the beautiful fall colours which you see here in this image of the St.Elias Mountains of Kluane National Park in the Yukon. The second was to photograph bears which is our passion and thirdly was to get some photography in before I have surgery on my wrists in early October which will mean the end of photography for a while.

Hello Rick,
Very beautiful Autumn colours in this photo. The mountains in the background are splendid, a sign of the Winter coming in. Beautiful contrasts. Excellent POV, DOF and composition.
All the best with your health.
Regards,
Peter

Lovely Rick...looks like you had one of your more fun and yet photographically successful outings! Excellent colours well defined by your eye also well REfined!
Bob

What a wonderful view Rick, really majestic. A Circular polarizing filter would have worked wonders here. You see how the sky is washed out. A polarizing filter would have helped to bring in more detail and given those fall colors some snap. Another consideration is a HDR image, not sure if you know how to set your AEB on your 5D II. I have done some real cool HDR with my 5D II and the 24-105 lens which are on my web site, BTW your 24-105 lens takes a 77mm filter in case you wanted to know. Good luck with the Bears and your pending surgery.

Hi Rick, Wow what a fabulous scenic composition my good friend, awesome lighting control with lovely natural colours, just love the feeling of the moment, great stuff here Rick and very well done,
Best Regards,

Pauly.

PS Hope your op goes well my friend,

Hello Rick,
I cant stop from responding to this view. It is such a lovely landscape and colours. I remember when I was young I used to watch "Sergeant Preston from Yukon". Very beautiful view.
this colourful grass and forest is so pleasant and lovely. What a place to witness and to enjoy the beauty of nature.

Regards,
Foozi

Hi Rick,
Great view of this colorful meadow and mountains. It's always nice when you can share a passion like wildlife with someone special. I wish you a quick recovery from surgery, get well soon. This surgery would`t be timed with the bears hibernating would it.
Denis.

Hi Rick,

A symphony of color! Love the mountains disappearing into the mistiness too. The drab cloud cover really works well here in bringing out the purest of hues. Magical stuff, well done!

Regards,

Derek

Hello Rick

I thinks Paradise in the earth (for a nature lover
and photographer) its exist and it is this beautiful
scenery in Yukon northern Canada. A very beautiful
landscape photo with the nature's multi-colors,
there is a tone in every palette of colors,
i love the POV you choose and the wide angle framing,
