L’escargot (The snail)

One night, after my workday at Ernst Leitz Canada Ltd (I worked as an engineer for LEICA), I saw that snail on the sidewalk on my way home. It was raining like crazy so I decided to take it home for a picture. My girlfriend never enjoyed seeing me bringing back all kind of bugs and animals in the apartment.

To make my picture more natural, I grabbed few foliages for the background. To limit its displacement, I took a dead branch that was place almost parallel to the film plane. Two small manual flash units were used for exposure.

Les tons de brun sont à l'honneur. Image bien détaillée et éclairée. Je constate d'après la note que vous avez encore pris le contrôle de tous les détails pour une image parfaite.

Solid detail, nice comp. Consider if you will maybe setting the EV down a stop or two to control the over exposure on the shell. Good work.

Belle netteté de l'ensemble (bonne DOF). Belle composition aussi.

Par contre je trouve l'ensemble un poil sombre, j'aurrais bien vu un fond plus clair, pour casser le ton brun et faire mieux ressortir l'escargot.
