Hi Mike.
Even though this is blurred in places,I really like it.
It has a very arty quality about it.The blue greys all merge together in stark contrast to the black and white head.The belly and legs have a comical,almost cartoonish look about them.Very amusing shot.

This is a very good picture of this shy bird.
The motion blur is very nice. The colours are nice.
But I know why the are so shy for you, I sneaked after you and took a picture that explain´s why you have problems to shoot these birds, I post a WS.:

I Mike, this is a good action shot. It is cool to see how everything is blured except the face. You followed it nicely. Not bad at all for a fast "get ready & shot". I think your camera had a good pattern in its head for the focus this time ;)

Ol' Egle Eye, Howdy!
See you finally got your new baby, and that you are enjoying playing with it. I love these feisty little ducks, they are really cute, and this is a nice shot. I am constantly trying to shoot birds from take-off, and I know how difficult it is to nail these critters.
I just love the scene On Golden Pond, it is a real wallhanger

excelent shot!!. I love the action. In my town I saw a different grebe species doing some similar, but my photos are aweful. good details and compo.

Hello Mike,
Great action shot of this merganser taking off like a bat out of hell. I cant wait till the day I get the chance to photograph this species, where I'm at they are very elusive, you look at these guys crossed eyed and they are gone. :)
