Gorgeous Peiter! Absolutely gorgeous! Perfect in every way. Pure & serene. Your polarizer really enhanced this image nicely, it was very effective on the water. I got so excited looking at this picture I couldn't type correctly, so I had to go back and fix this comment. :)

Absolutely magnificent and perfect image, Pieter!
Thank you.
Hi Pieter,
Excellent shot and well done on the composition and details.
C.P. did well for you, however, there is slight vignetting on the top right. The mountain on the top left, the white is cooked.
Overall, well done on this one.
Mike
I don't know if it is the most beautiful but it is defenetly very beautiful place.
The polarizer didn't do very good work with the water, I would like to see stronger reflection or not reflection at all, now it is in the middle.
One more thing is the shade in the left bottom.

Hey Pieter,
wonderful image, very strong on detail and its really nice of you to share your informative note,
there is a little vignetting over the left snowpeak, the reflections and underwated stones are captured brilliantly :)
Cheers TFS,

Hi Pieter.
This is a fantastic view. The clear water is gorgeous.
Lovely colours, good details and well composed.
I like the POV and the deep also.
The top of the snow to left is slighly OE.
Excellent work, my friend.

This photo is really excellent, Pieter.
I don't think there is any vignetting. I would guess the slightly darker sky on the right is due to the sun being just out of the frame on the left, so all the left side is slightly lighter. The left mountain top is OE, that is the only REAL nit worth mentioning.
The reflection on the lake is half and half, which could have been adjusted by rotating the filter, but it's down to personal taste.

Very nice capture Pieter, good composition and effective DOF. I think the Ultra-wide Zooms are best for these type of shots as I would like to have seen a little more on each side. Sometimes with Kit lens Id stitch two photos. As you know exposure would balance out better with Grad filter. Thread on reflection and "diffraction effects" is interesting I must try a few test myself because I often set the aperture 18-22. I would have thought the polarizer would have totally removed the reflection, maybe it also depends on to angle of sun etc. Anyhow its cracking shot and one to be proud of. 7/10 Well done.

Lovely scene Pieter, I kinda like the soft refelctions. The "deep" is very nice. There seems to be a slight blue cast at the top. But it could very well be just me... :)

GOEde plaat pieter! Gaaf gedaan, prachtige compositie, mooi van kleur.. ! Helemaal top!
GOOD SHOT!
OLger
A perfect reflection with amazingly still water. Everything about the composition is done well, the exposure is spot on. How did you do the neat floating frame?

Pieter, absolutely stunning!! The view is amazing, but the stones in the lake are so very clear to see - I like that. Those trees look so small, yet I know they're not. Good job, thank you.
I'm also loving your diary, wish I was there, but not on that road!!!

Hi Pieter, this is a nice shot. I must be honest and say that I like the WS with the reflection full on. Polarisers do help with reflections after all reflections are glare. I think the reason for the difference is the sun. In the WS the mountain is bathed in light and in the other the mountain is shaded by a cloud.
Anyway, it's a lovely composition and great colours and scene. Very well done.

Hi Pieter,
Woow, beautiful shot of a beautiful place. I read all the notes from Elroyie and I'm not sure I agree. This is a beautiful shot, sure William Henry Jackson might want to change it but to me it's beautiful. It's a great composition, details and colours are perfect and a good exposure. Great work!

Hi Pieter, A spectacular view of Edith Cavell. Colours are magnificent. Your photo really shows how pristene our lakes are.
Here's an interesting topic...In Okotoks Alberta, there is a huge Glacial Erratic. A huge boulder left over from the iceage. The sign in front of the boulders believed that the rock came from Mt Edith Cavell. I guess Edith Cavell is made up of Quartzite and that is what the Glacial Erratic is....Quartzite. I have a photo of the glacial erratic. Janice

Pieter,
Great experience over there...
Your right about reflection in workshop. I prefer also the one (this one) with stones isible under water. It is a more pro pic.
In the case there were no stones or the water was not transparent, maybe reflection would have a better effect.

Great shot!! Exceelent use of blue and reflections to create the feeling of the serene place. Good composition and sharpl;y focussed. But the patch of white at the top left just above the mountain appears to be a little too bright for me. Anyways, amazing shot.
