Another shot for my Zoo of St-Felicien trip. This time, I present to you for my 50th post on TN a coyote, not a great picture but I like the natural environment look surrounding this coyote standing on the snow with all these branches around and the forest behind. I had to dig a lot to be able to present a good picture of the coyote because somehow these one were all darker because of the trees and because of a hill hiding the sum in the area were the coyote are staying.

This picture was taken at the Zoo of St-Félicien in the superb region of Lac St-Jean in Quebec to get some shots of North American species living in their natural habits. The Zoo is open during the winter and you will get to see in the next days my pictures of the following animals : polar bear, red fox, river otter, wolverine, bighorn sheep, mountain goat, Canada lynx, cougar, coyote, snowy owl and bald eagle.

All pictures taken in the snow on a beautiful clear and sunny sky, but cold day (-15°C or 5°F).

So just stay tune, and enjoy !!!

Congrats and may we celebrate your 500 th with a post as good as this one. Nice colours and very well done with the exposure.

Regards, Petru

Its a place i have been told to go and visit, Lc St Jean. I am hoping to have to opportunity one day. The shot is very nice, its amazing how almost the coyote blends into the wood background. Imagine in the wild. Sure is cold there......

Thanks for sharing and well done on your 50th post !

Demetrio

Hi Stephan,
Excellent shot for your 50th post! Congratulations....Excellent composition with this coyote in his natural environment. Would never know it was a zoo shot. They say if the earth is every destroyed, Coyotes and cock roaches will still survive.

Salut Stephan!

Belle "prise"! L'image semble un peu douce mais à peine. L'exposition est très bonne considérant la lumière difficille. La compositon est bien balancée.
Très bonne image du loup dans son environnement. Bravo
