These birds are just like the gulls in 'Finding Nemo!

During late September and October the salmon spawn and then die, littering the beaches and stream beds. When I took this picture, several whole salmon lay just yards away, yet these silly birds were quarreling over this muddy scrap of bones. Now isn't that just like humans, lusting after something just because someone else has it, when healthier choices are available all around? :oP
