Odd that there is no catagory for lakes. Anyway, this is Cameron Spit, a small strip of land surrounded by the waters of Cameron Lake. Only at a certain time of year does the setting sun shine between the mountains at just the right angle to spotlight the Spit while casting the mountain behind into contrasting shadow.

Hi Shelly,

First thought it was a good pic. After reading your notes, was able to appreciate it better. The spit looks very vibrant and colourful.

Hello Shelley...
Superb capture with good timing!
A fine and well balanced composition, where the play of lighting is very effective in bringing out the beauty of this place... The reflections are awesome in the calm waters... Congrats & well done!
Greetings,

Hi Shelly,

Most Beautifull lake. The reflection of the spotlighted trees in amazing. The idea of making a photo of a lake without any distortion of the wind is great.

The photo can be even be rotated without notice! Great reflection!

what a lovely picture.

What hit me first was the light and then the though what about a panoramic straight across the middle, full width, to the height of the tallest tree, inlcuding its full refelction, and omitting all of the sky?
