A new version Luc with a greater approach on the bird that allows to distinguish more details of the same one.
The composition is very pretty as well as the POV.
Perhaps the weak point is the focus something soft... seems that it was centered on the rushes that are behind.
In any case as presentation is very good.

A very good shot, good details, good pose.
Well done
This was great for a first post.I wondered if you were using auto focus? The slight softness on the bird almost suits it.I tried sharpening a little just to see what would happen,(workshop). The bird is not too bad, but the reeds in the background are noisier, (must be more of those herons ;)

A very nice shot Luc.
Nice colours and pose , good colours and the eye is very sharp. The rest of the body is soft, mayge a higher f-stop would have helped.
Well done.

Wow! I like this bird very much. BG is very sharp, saturated green colour looks impresive. Very good work.

Very beautiful shot with a detailed note too. As Ricardo says I think the focus is not perfect on the bird, the back light and transparencies of the plants (and opacity of the bird) tricked your camera this time. It usually happens to me in macro mode, if background has a lot of light and shooting a neutral or pale subject, my cam always focus the BG, no matter where the aiming point is.
But this time due to the fantastic background and composition gives a nice atmospheric feel to the image, at least I like it very much.

Yes, Luc I like it. That hair style is so "in" right now. The earth brown undershirt and dark grey trousers very elegant. :)
Nice shot Luc.
And we have seen a LOT of your beautiful work - Thanks. The crop works for me (Like it lots)and this is really a very good shot.
I dont think that I must now say that the crop is too tight and I prefer a wider crop :)
Thanks for posting

Hi Luc
I just love these shots where the birds are pulled through a thorn bush, backside first, and the "hair" standing on end. Beautiful. And the note now really rocks. Thanks for RP it.
