Its physical characteristics
The russet-red squirrel of America is a small rodent mammal of the family of sciuridés. This last moults twice per year. In summer, its sides as its back take a colour dark olive and are separated from its throat as well as its belly of white color, by thin milks black. Its head, its posterior, and its legs, as for them, are coloured various tone of brown.

In winter, the fawn-coloured color of the tail reaches the back, while the black features disappear. The head, the posterior one and the legs take paler colours very clearly energy of brown with chestnut. The belly when with him colours itself of a silver plated gray colour.

The russet-red squirrel generally weighs between 120 and 250 G and measurement from 28 to 38 cm including/understanding the tail which can, with it only, to reach 15 cm. When it is in a wild state, this animal seldom exceeds the 3 years, but in captivity some one lived until the 12 years age.

Salut Jeanpaul,
très bonne composition, j'aime bien cette branche coupée au bon endroit qui donne une sensation aérienne à l'écureuil. Beaux détails de la fourrure aux tons chauds qui contraste avec le reste de l'image plutôt froide. Peut-être que le blanc est un peu trop fort? En tout cas j'admire la patience qu'il t'a certainement falut pour surprendre l'écureuil.
