Excellent composition of this "bird on a wire". I like the grey tone: wire, sky and owl. Good contrast and details. Very good Lissa.

That's it Lissa! An excellent job!The eyes and the bill becomes evident on this grey-tone composition, much better than the former one. Congadulations...

What a beautiful picture of the great owl. the background is a bit noisy, but so what, the owl just stands out wonderfully in all its glory. Great stuff Lissa.

Hi Lissa
Nice owl, and the previous one can be cropped even tighter, to give you more of a mugshot!
IMO, I would crop tighter on the right, to place the owl more on 1/5 than 1/3. Try it and see for yourself. This guy has such a lovely face, wish I coul see it for real too!

Hi Lissa. What an incredible shot of this beautiful Great Gray. I love the composition, colour, and DOF, and I can almost feel the cold. You were very fortnate to get such an opportunity.
I have lived in Central Florida for the past 11 years, but I lived in Peterborough from 1964-73, and still have fond memories of good times and friends there.

Hi Lissa,
this is a fine capture of the great gray owl and that despite the poor conditions. The colour is true and the pov good even though it would be better perched on a tree branch instead but you take your shots where you can get them.I am originally from Peterborough as well and lived on Cameron St. in the south end of town in behind Crawford Steel. There was when I lived in the area a very good variety of wildlife to photo.I do not know how it is now as I have not lived in Peterborough since March 1981.Tfs
