[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Double-crested Cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus)

Despite years of persecution by fishermen who viewed it as a competitor, despite pesticide use and chemical pollution, the species is increasing in number and expanding its range.

The word "cormorant" is derived, through French, from the Latin corvus marinus, or "sea crow."

Hi Daniel,
Great action shot! The head and neck are sharp and the rest is part of the action. Fine lighting.
A species of cormorant new to me and you can see the difference between it and the Great Cormorant by the color at the base of the beak and cheek.
TFS, regards, Ivan

Hello Daniel,
Excellent action capture, monet you caught is great.I liked POV,lighting, solid body, motion blur on wings and composition a lot.
TFS...:-)

Bonjour Daniel,
Superbly capturing this flying cormorant. Nicely timed. Water splash and blurry wings give a strong sense of movement. Excellent shot.

Bonjour Daniel,
Anne

This is a good catch in action! Great details and composition with good exposure.

Allo Daniel,
Claudine
