[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
My last photo dealt with some scenery we saw heading down from Glissade Pass. Our destination that day though was Divide Lake, which is the second most popular place to camp within the Tombstone range (Grizzly Lake remains the most popular).
Divide Lake is the source of the North Klondike River, which flows east from this lake down into the Klondike River itself. Center right of this photo just beyond the lake is Tombstone Pass, where beyond it lies Talus Lake (another lake I'll be covering in the near future) and the headwaters of the Tombstone River.
This particular shot of Divide Lake was actually taken on our last day in the park when we were about to head out, but it's my favorite shot I got of the lake, so I posted it now instead.
I think I'll post one or two more shots of this beautiful lake sometime soon.
These kinds of shots really make me wish I remembered my polarizing filter.

Hi Tim
Spectacular landscape with strong contrasts. The snow capped mountain and its reflection contrast sharply with the left hand shadows. The skyline and its reflection remind me of an attenuated sound wave. Thanks for sharing this one.
Greg

Hello Tim, beautiful shot, it almost looks unreal. What amazing landscape. Love the dark left corner and then the distant view of these amazing mountains. The colours on this shot are great, sharpness and angle of shot showing lots of details of the area. Great one.

Amazing reflections in this shot!

Hi Tim,
Very nice picture. It's the kind of landscape photo I like. Very contrast and vivid color, the composition is very good and the reflection on the water create a good ambiance.

Hi Tim
All I can say is WOW!
This shot looks like a oil painting. It's just beautiful. You must have had some great weather on your trip.

Hi Tim,
I am at work, and have my monitor set up for word processing, so not a good idea to watch photos. But, I can see the beauty in this photo really well. Please remind me that I look at this photo again when I am at home, since I want to see it on a brighter screen.
TFS,
Niek

At home...It looks much better then at work. I see more colors and less shades. It does feel it needs a rotation to the left, even if it is already horizontal. But, it is a really stunning photo and no CP needed.

Tim,
Ansel Adams would like that!

Hello Tim,
Great colors and details. The reflections are just great to. PERFECT shot ! TFS

Absolutely stunning!
I have no other words for it. I might agree with the rotation - it feels slightly angled. Otherwise the composition, fantastic colours, light and sharpness is great!

I did a little workshop where I rotated the image a few degrees left, just for the try of it.
