Fragrant Water Lily [Nymphaea odorata].
June to September. Found in quiet waters, ponds, slow-moving rivers and lakes.
One of the most common of White Water Lilies. The flowers usually open from early morning until noon.
The stomata, tiny openings on the leaf surface through which carbon dioxide plus other gases pass into the plant, are on the upper, shiny water repellent leaf surface, not on the lower leaf surface, as in the case of most dry-land plants. |

A beautiful capture Roy
Such a delicate flower. The dark background really brings out the colour and shape nicely. I like the composition of the flower more on the left side of the shot. Very pretty. TFS Janice

I liked too much the capture of the water lily , fantastic light incident and on the flower.

Perfect light exposure and whithe (HARD !!) control. Superb focus on center of flower, very well detailed.
