[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This beautiful mountain called Mount Terry Fox in Mount Terry Fox Provincial Park I saw when we were on our way to Jasper. Besides the beautiful view, Mount Terry Fox also has a sad but interesting story to tell, so for me it added something special to this shot.
This is the story behind this special mountain:

The beautiful Mount Terry Fox Provincial Park lies adjacent to the western boundary of Mt. Robson Provincial Park, encompassing Mount Terry Fox (8,700 feet/2,651 metres)

Named in 1980. Fox, Terrance Stanley (Terry Fox lost a leg to cancer and then set out to run across the country to raise funds for research. He was more than halfway across when he was forced to stop due to the spread of the disease.)

At 2651 metres, this mountain was the highest unnamed peak in British Columbia within sight of a public highway when it was dedicated to Terry Fox in 1981.

A plaque below the mountain reads as follows: "This mountain has been dedicated to the memory of Terry Fox and his gallant Marathon of Hope. Terry, 22, of Port Coquitlam, B.C. lost a leg to bone canceer but undertook to run across Canada on an artificial limb to raise funds for cancer research. He completed 5,375 kms before his illness forced him to end his run. His valiant effort against incredible odds touched the hearts of all Canadians and people around the world and resulted in contributions of many millions of dollars to the Canadian Cancer Society. Terry died on June 28, 1981. The mountain which bears his name will serve forever as an enduring and fitting memorial to a young Canadian's determination, selflessness, and courage.

Mount Terry Fox was officially dedicated on September 22, 1981 by the family of Terry Fox and the people of British Columbia.

Very nice composition with the trees making a frame on the sides. Looks like a beatuiful place to be! Thanks for the note too, Terry really deserved a mountain named by him. It stands for the fantastic achievement of his.

Wow prachtig Nel, wat een natuurschoon in dat Canada!!!
Hier zou ik het wel kunnen uithouden.
Mooie compositie, bomen, bergen, sneeuw en dan die schitterende lucht.
Goed gezien om deze foto precies tussen de twee sparren door te nemen, dat geeft
deze foto extra diepte tussen voor en achtergrond.
