Une des nombreuses espèces d'oiseaux qui sont "domiciliés" au Parc Frontenac.

Le chevalier grivelé a pour territoire le Canada et les parties nord et centrale des États-Unis. À l’aise tant sur les rives de lacs, de ruisseaux, de rivières que de marais, il se nourrit d’insectes, de petits crustacés, de mollusques, de vers, d’escargots et parfois de petits poissons. Ce régime alimentaire lui permet d’accumuler des graisses essentielles à son long voyage. En effet, il quitte son habitat d’origine à l’automne pour hiverner en Amérique Centrale et du Sud, allant parfois se réfugier au Brésil et au Pérou. Le chevalier grivelé a une longueur de 18 à 21 cm.

One of the numerous species of birds who inhabit the Parc Frontenac located about 100km ESE of Quebec City.

The Spotted Sandpiper’s territorial range includes Canada and the northern and central parts of the United States. As comfortable on lakesides as on the banks of streams, rivers and marshes, it feeds on insects, small crustaceans, molluscs, worms, snails, and sometimes small fish. This diet enables it to accumulate the fats essential for its long travels. Indeed, it leaves its original habitat in the fall to spend the winter in Central and South America, sometimes seeking shelter in Brazil and Peru. The length of the Spotted Sandpiper is 18 to 21 cm.

Hi Marc,
This is a fine sharp capture of the Spotted Sandpiper, Actitis macularia in breeding plumage. This is a very rare visitor to Sweden and I saw it in my country this year for the first time but I couldn't get as fine shot as this.
Maybe I should try improving this shot a little more in the WS.

You have shared very nice shot with clear beautiful colors, excellent details and interesting captured scene. I agree with Argus: it is better to leave more spaces before a bird in a direction of its sight, than behind of it. Pretty, well done job.
