Nice one Claudine!
Just shows that a good telephoto lens can work as a macro. It has all the merits of a macro plus superb through-lighting.
The information you gave relates to European Clouded Yellows. Isn't this a sulfur?

Very nice shot of this lemony, so cloose! i like the great baclit effect on the wings and soft colours all in the frame. pov is great. This is a beautiful composition. you used the 100-400! that's interesting, how far between the subject and you?

auwwwtch.....you got the eyes for the right moment!! I always admire this kind of photograph which is taken using the available light source especially the effect created when the light falls to a certain angle. Like this one, backlighting is very very nice, making it more beautiful than others, lovely image and this goes to my fav...of course..:)

Bonjour Claudine,

Je ne peux malheureusement commenter toutes et chacune de tes photos.
Ayant moi-même tenté de capturer ces papillons je peux te dire que celle-ci est particulièrement réussie. J'aime bien cette fenêtre dans la fleur qui nous permet d'apprécier l'oeil du papillon.
L'homogénéité des couleurs est ennivrante.
Somme toute, un joli tableau assez bien composé.
