[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's quite funny this Boss Lake. While you can't tell by these photos, there were actually a few hundred people with RV's and trailers camped all around this lake, with most of them sporting dirtbikes and ATV's. I was camped there too, but tenting it with other friends, and my mission was more to capture the peace and tranquility of this lake in spite of what was going on all around.
This photo was taken before the sun was up and the fog still quite thick.

Hi Tim,

Good shot, it makes me think of a thriller movie, you're not sure what is waiting on the other side of the fog. Good composition.

Love the misty lake shots.This one is beautiful.A lovely composition with good balance.I really like the way the branches of the dead fallen tree arch out into the lake.TFS

Hi TIm,
Your series of this lake is superb. I really like the colors and mood in all photos. This one is great for it FG interest and the slowly fading trees in the distance. Excellent control on the exposure keeping the fog in perfect condition. Great colors and sharpness.

A great moody shot. I always like fog shots and this one is definitely no exception. It's great how the fog reveals just enough of the background trees to make this shot interesting. Well done!

Well you did a great job of choosing a subject and point of view . It is a wonderful composition and it has a great peaceful feel to it. It's hard to imagine what the fog is hiding.

I love your composition here. The old wooden trunk and the treeline leading the viewer into the fog and dissapearing - never to be found again... creepy, huh!
Just kidding. Nice graduation in the shadows and great exposure!

Hi Tim,

I just noticed this picture and it is great. Like very much this composition. It's a classic. Love the dead tree with branches over the water. Good capture of the fog at the trees just breaking out of it. Excellent reflection on the water. It's a good inspirational picture for me. Simple but very effective.
