[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a follow up on the picture I posted earlier.
I took a closer view of Helmcken Falls, and this is the closest I could get with the camera I used at that time. I loved the way the water is splashing down and creating some kind of mist. It was great to see this.
I' m hoping to go back someday, so I can use my new camera and take even more nicer pictures, but hey, who knows.......

This information I looked up on the internet:

Helmcken Falls is widely thought of as possibly the most powerful waterfall in west of the Rocky Mountains (if it's not, it's in the top 5). The Murtle River regularly spews anywhere between 5000 and 25000 cubic feet of water over the falls per second. The river, which stretches to over 300 feet wide at Dawson Falls several miles upstream, is condensed through a notch in the canyon between 50 and 75 feet wide, and is shot 141 meters into a massive bowl-amphitheater. In the winter, a giant ice cone, at times over 200 feet high, builds at the base of the falls.

Well composed capture!
This is an impressive waterfall, mostly beacause it is special with something that looks like a big cave behind...

Hi Nel, I like how the water is shooting out at the top of the fall - as you say - spewing out. It does look very forceful. The spray at the bottom emphasises how strong it is when it hits the bottom. Well composed and captured, TFS

Hoi Nel,
Zeker indrukwekkend. Vooral de kracht van het water en de ruimte achter de waterval. Je positie en compositie zijn erg goed, met de bomen op de voorgrond voor een betere diepte en om aan te geven hoe groot deze waterval is. Misschien iets meer contrast en helderheid.

Very nice picture! The force of that falling water is just amazing, and you show it well through your photo! Very nice composed and nice detail in the water too. I think that the workshop works for the surroundings, but that your original is better on the water itself (no offense Niek ;-)
