A portrait of a young Great Blue Heron (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Blue_Heron). I had the chance to be near, but I use a teleconverter 1.4x (Teleplus Pro 300 Kenko) and do some cropping on the top.

Superbes les détails, de plus aves un 400 et sur un pied,chez moi,je m' approche tout doucement,et il file et je photographie leur derrière. avec mon 300. Amicalement Thomas

Good shot with some nice detail, you can get even ore detail in the plumage by reducing the shadows.

Hi Francois.
Perfect close-up picture. And excellent reproduction all details of this amazing bird. I like composition, sharpness and details. The BG is very nice also as well as the reproduction of light waves and water color tones. My compliments and TFS.
