These pictures, read them from top left clockwise, were taken 1-2 days apart. They show the hatching of three American robin chicks (Turdus migratorius)
I found the nest about 1.7 meters off the ground in a fence alongside my home. I used a macro setting on my camera, held it over the nest and hoped for the best. This is the result.
Of the three chicks that hatched, one was taken by a Blue Jay (Cyanocitta cristata) and the other two made it to become juveniles. |

Hi Mike,
You've done a great job! The images have documentary value and you combined them in a good composition. The POV is fine enough but it'd be perfect if you could get rid of those leaves.:)
