[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Here's another shot of Sunday's snow in Banff. The snow has slowed for just enough to allow a peek at the mountains around the town, so I framed it through this meadow. THis is taken along the Fernland lopp trail.

PP: A resize, a branch cloned out, a frame, and USM.

Hi Mike, I dont know all the technical terms, but I love the composition - the trees at the sides almost leaning to the centre. Lovely crisp sharp detail in the front - this is so beautiful - looks very Christmassy. Stay warm and TFS

Hi Mike

I am a sucker for snowscapes and this one is a real beauty! Well done on the exposure. Good low POV stretching across the land. Very well composed. Lovely to view. :-)

Hello Mike,
Very typical winter colours!
Beautiful composition, where the bushes in front create this fine feeling of depth...
Well done on the snow exposure, good textures!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Mike, you sure know how to make someone jealous. here I am stuck indoors wishing my foot would get better and you have snow. Guess all you need know is the frost and the sun and you will have some stunning scenes... here's hoping you are getting some...

great picture of teh snow BTW. there is a real sense of depth to this picture and just enough green showing to show it is not B&W.

TFS
Emma

Hi Mike,
this looks frosty... brr. I guess winter is here to stay in Alberta. Very nice shot, good POV. The mist in the BG just letting part of the mountain show through. Very well done.

Salut Mike
Très belle photo que ce beau paysage d'hiver avec cette belle neige . Beau cadrage , belle composition les détails sont supers et très belles couleurs .
Merci et au revoir et bon week end ....JP

This is nice Mike. I don't know much about photographing snow. Where did you meter and did you compensate any to make it whiter? It is a nice iimage with nice sharp foreground elements and good depth of focus. So now you get snow and more good photo ops and we get RAIN!
