[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is taken along the Bow River in the town of Banff. The first snow was expected, so I was eager to head out as soon as there was enough light. It was still snowing hard and limited visibility, but on the way back the snow lifted a bit and I got a view of the mountains in the bg.

Hi Mike,

Wow, how great that you have snow over there!
I visited Banff in May this year and it's a really
beautiful place. I wondered how it must look like
covered in snow, and thanks to your picture I can see it looks amazing.
Beautiful capture with a great point of view, it's leading me in to the picture.

Great landscape.I like this composition.Very pretty look at across the river on mountains with height in mist.First snow,but is him really very.Pretty interception atmosphere early winter.

A very well captured winter landscape. Amazing reflection on the lake and fog give real atmosphere of winter, to this photo. You show us like a secret garden from your country. Very nice. Thanks for sharing.

You did get some nice shots of the first snow. It looks exposed well for the whites. I think this is a good image to practice pp to find out how to get a little more saturation in the mountain without altering the rest of the image too much. see workshop. It was fun to practice on. : )

Hi Mike,
Great POV and what a stunning view it is. The mountain that is jus visable through the fog is such a great eye catcher. I like the contrast of snow with the green river and trees. Great idea to use both trees to frame the vista.

A beauty of a landscape. Subdued colors due to the weather, but that is the beauty of a shot like this. Well composed and framed. I love how you can just make out the mountains in the backround. Looks great!

The colours are muted in Canada too..!
The atmosphere is so well captured, low light and fog in the air...
