Here's a wood duck portrait.

I'm very pleased of these ducks. Normaly, one cannot be within reason of these ducks in the wild, as they are very shy. However, in the city, one can be within reason of these ducks and be able to capture them in a natural environment.
Corn was used to lure them in. Competition for food was a battle as there were many Mallards. Next pic, a Mallard in flight.

I used my D200, loaded with an 80-200mm F/2.8 at f/2.8

A very beautiful portrait of this lovely wood duck!
The details are really clear and sharp, the colors are lovely and the contrast is great.

lovely portait of this wood duck. Quite amazing how close you got, you right they are really hard to approach. Great focus on the eye, POV, sharpness and details are superp. Very nice colors and excellent DOF.

Hi Mike. A very sharp close-up of this wood duck. The details visible are amazing. I am keen one day to upgrade to a Nikon or Canon to get shots as sharp as this. Another good one in your wonderful duck series. Murray.
