English name: Canada Darner
Scientific name: Aeshna canadensis Walker, 1908
The Canada Darner (Aeshna canadensis) is a large dragonfly that occurs across the northern U.S. and much of Canada. It is not often found perched, so many shots of this species, including these, are posed.
Flight season: Jul ~ Nov.
This species is a common dragonfly in Canada. A. canadensis on photo is an immature male. I hope you like it. |

Quite good, though it doesn't reall stand out with that dark background. The pale OOF flower on the left is distracting and perhaps the drangon is too central in the frame.
Interesante libélula con una "decoración" con formas geométricas y colores que por aquí no se dan. Buenos detalles y agradable luz.
Un saludo Kevin.
Juan Luis.
I've never imagined we share our thought and hobby here. As much as you possibly can, introduce our beautiful Korean dragonflies to this site so that the friends around the world shown here might be interested in. You're the first guy who takes a part of this important task through this route. Thanks for the good photo.
Have fun and take care my friend
