[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This posting is a European Starling feeding its' young, which was shot in Police Point Park. They grow to be 19-22cm long, and feed on insects, berries, worms and such. This introduced species competes with native hole nesters for woodpecker holes and nesting cavities.

Hello Rick,
Again, you had a great timing! I really like this action with good details. Some parts are a little OE but I understand that it is very hard to calibrate with those bright and dark tones of colors. You had an excellent POV and this is a nice composition. Well done!
Claudine

Outstanding timing. Exceptional, sharp focus. Beautiful colors. A favorite! This is a great nature shot!

Hi Rick, I never liked these guys, too much experience with them in the city I guess, but you make them look good. Your composition is very good, with good timing and the birds are sharp with very good detail and colour. I'm an eye guy, I like to see the birds eyes, so if there is a very small disappointment for me it is that the eye on the parent is not as clear as I would have liked. Still, a very good shot.
