Its not really a seascape but there are not Lakescapes available and to me it really doens't look like a lake since you can't see across the 58 miles it is across! I was driving home from running some errands and decided to stop at this spot to take some photos of the surf and the rocks trying to imagine what it was like here during the storm last week.
There is alot of evidence on the shores along here of just how high the water got. Here its good solid bedrock though. I'm looking west and yes the wind is again blowing about 15 knots so not bad, although as I"m typing this at 8:30Pm it is howling out there about 30knots from the west yet again..an unsettling winter this has been so far!

thanks for looking at my gallery and the comments on my photos..:o)

Hi Donna,
A part of strom series again. Very nice and after seing your serie that you've sent here, I can realize that the storm goes away slowly.
Greetings.

Hi Donna,
This is a BEAUTIFUL picture!
Excellent composition, exposure, and detail!
Good work!
Thanks & TFS,
Dave

ps It's been a busy day. My wife took me to town. We had a good time. I appreciate you stopping my and commenting my second grub picture. I was beginning to feel like the red headed step child...;-( I guess that is what I get for posting such a "tasteless" picture...;-)

Hi Donna,
Nice lakescape picture. Yes, the Great Lakes are huge body of water, beside their sizes, look like they also behave like seas....
Wet rocks at FG are very nice.
Have you try to take a shot in this area with longer exposure?

Ben Lakitan

Hola Donna, buen trabajo, dicen que despues de la tormenta viene la calma... saludos por esta preciosa foto...

Good timing on the wave shot Donna. The sky is a bit on the weak side though. Maybe a bit more PS work would bring out the details.

Interesante imagen que muestra los efectos de la tormenta. Buena composición y presentación.
Saludos, JL.

Hi Donna,
I am not happy with the limited choise of catagories as well. They really need to add ´lake´ to it.
I really like your composition, with the rocks in the FG as good leadlines. Love the diagonal lines of the waves and the limited colors created by the winter season.

Hi Donna
you right its hard to grasp that this is a lake and not the ocean, the eye reaches far. EWxcellent composition, great POV that gives such great depth. Wonderful beach details and great textures.

belle photo,bonne netteté,belles couleurs,bonne année.
Amitiés Thomas

Nice palette of colurs in this shot Donna. As to "Sea" and angry "Still" I think you have taken a wee poetic license ;)

The still is pretty well without anger, not?

The compo is classic. Tfs, J.

Hi, Donna.
Nice shot. Good depth. Interesting foreground and real stormy feeling.
