Rummaging through my Tombstone Territorial Park trip we did back in August, I came across this little gem of a photo. Not my wife here this time, but it was one of our group. Our dog though is off to the far lower right along the trail. Our destination, Grizzly Lake, is in the shadows just below Mt. monolith, which is that towering spire off in the distance.
The hiker is a good reference point for the vastness of wilderness that lay ahead. |

Tim, this is more than splendid!
The perspective from here is breathtaking and seems to be endless.
The colors are superb throughout the entire frame and the tones are very well saturated thanks to the proper exposure.
I also like the fact that you've included the treker - it adds quite a lot to the overall composition and gives a good idea about the sizes and distances of everything.
The one thing mythical about this shot are the mountains from the distance...they look most impressive and seems liek taken from an epic film or fairytale.
All-in-all a brilliant shot!
