An adorable picture of this dragonfly native to North America and Canada, Kevin.
The description of the insect in your note matches perfectly with the details you have captured in this well-composed, crystal-clear image.
The green BG contributes immensely in highlighting the finer aspects of the image such as colors and wing texture.
Thanks for sharing the image.

Hello Kevin,
This is another beautiful capture from you. I have to say that even if it's not your sharpest one, I like its pose, composition, colors and exposure. Nice green BG too. Merry Christmas to you :-)

Hi Kevin,
Neat image and sharp, but DoF seems a bit too shallow.
Nice shot.

Hi Kevin

Another splendid Odonata picture from you!
This, too, is a beauty in all its aspects (colors, pattern) but what i want to underline here is the excellent composition you managed: the tail gives a diagonal direction which continues very nicely with one set of wings while the other pair has a lovely almost vertical positioning.
The tight crop does well to enhance these features, as well.
I really like the POV and the bright BG and also the impecable exposure.
Very nicely done!

Bravo and TFS
Horia

PS: Happy Holidays to you, too! :)

Hi Kevin,
wonderful capture of this dasher! Excellent focus right at the center of the frame, where the dragonfly and the branch meet (gotta love that composition!) and the DoF works wonderfully in creating an interesting photo. The soft, green background is perfect, too!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you, too!
TFS,
Stavros

Hello Kevin,
Though I find this image a little soft, the comp., the BG and the POV are so good that the image on the whole is of high standard and you desrve credit for that.
TFS and enjoy the Holiday Season,
Ivan

Hi Kevin,
nice picture wiht good POV and composition.
The DOF is a bit shallow but it look nice here and the colours are nice too. It's slightly soft and it would be nice to see your camera settings and to know if it's taken handheld.
Well done.

Very nice dragonfly photo! Excellent sharpness where it most needs to be (eyes). Your colors are very accurate. I saw many of these this summer in Texas. Exposure is outstanding. Good POV and background.
