Hola Jay, Magnífico momento, buenos tonos y colores maravillosos, buen trabajo... saludos
HI Jay
Great shot, very peaceful colours with a nice composition. In the UK i think these are called Sun Pillars or a Sun Dog?
Cheers,
Paul
Hello Jay,
This is a beautiful sunrise. It is amazing to see how sunrises bring a feeling of hope and new beginning; I think they are very symbolic. The exposure seems great to me and I like this POV and composition. Well seen! Thanks,
Claudine
PS. the sun is rising earlier here... Same country with many differences :)
Hi Jay
Indeed an interesting phenomenon...very well captured!
The exposure here is impeccable, and due to that, all the colors and tones are charming and very well saturated.
Also the POV is excellent and the perspective is great, the clouds on the horizon are lovely and the overall composition is fantastic.
Very well done!
Bravo and TFS

This is a first for me seeing a shot of a sun pillar. Fantastic shot from the shore, Jay.
Well done Jay.
I appreciated your note explaining this phenonmenon. The sun pillar makes for an interesting comp & sky, that is certain :)
Nice exposure and colors as well.
Merry Christmas!

I like the clouds.
thanks a lot Libor
Hi Jay,
Truly a wonderful phenomenon these sun pilars are and one that I have experienced myself (as seen here).I like how it extends over the wide expanse and how it touches and illuminates the water. Not sure if I would have centered it in this case...but that my opinion.Well captured...have a pleasant evening.
Regards, David

Hello Jay,
amazing atmospherical phenomenon, very clearly pictured and described. Wonderful colours, exposure well controlled, a lot of fine details around, and perfectly well balanced composition.
I love the explanation of even the small things that are easily overlooked in front of the spectacular ones. Being a guy from the mountains in the center of Europe I've only heard of lobster traps but never had the chance to see any.
And the dot of light coming from the house to the left is lovely, and quite remarkable: One single pixel can tell a whole story of somebody living in splendid isolation. That's unique.
With thanks, and best regards,
Peter
Hi Jay,
Marvelous landscape, I like the dark clouds in the horizon, occulting the sun and permiting to see the sun pillar, a phenomenon rare in my latitudes.
Thanks for sharing1

Nicely done Jay! A grad filter here would have helped even out the exposure, but you managed a pretty good photo as it is.
