Hallo Sky, Du warst mal wieder schneller wie ich. Ich hätte Dich aber nicht vergessen. Diesen Trompeterschwan kenne ich von hier mit einen roten Schnabel. Sehr schönes Portrait vom Trompeterschwan. Jetzt weiss ich nicht von wem ich schon mal ein Schwanenportrait gesehen hatte. Auf jeden Fall konnte man die sehr rauhe Zunge erkennen. Sah fast so aus als wenn sie mit kleinen Zähnchen bestückt wäre. Das war mir vollkommen neu. Deiner zeigt ja auch so schön seine rauhe Zunge. - Technisch ein sehr gutes Foto. Nicht einfach, dieses Portrait im Gegenlicht. Ich nehme an, dass dieser Schwan für ein Foto mit Blitz zu weit entfernt war. Sehr gute Schärfe, Blickwinkel, insgesamt eine sehr gute Bildgestaltung. Danke Dir für diesen schönen Schwan. Dabei fällt mir ein, meine jüngste Tochter konnte mit ca. 4 - 5 Jahren das "Sch" nicht richtig aussprechen. Sie sprach das "Sch" so, als wenn sie Wasser in den Zähnen hätte, also wie das weiche "S" oder Rucksack S (Ihr kennt ja nicht das SZ). Ich sagte vor: Andrea, sag doch mal "Schöne Scheiße". Das Resultat kannst Du Dir ja vorstellen...grins.. Der Sprachfehler war schon bei der Einschulung weg.
Ich wünsche Dir und Deiner Familie ein Gesegnetes Weihnachtsfest und einen guten Rutsch ins Neue Jahr.

It is quite amazing how far this "resonant, brassy, trumpet-like voice" carried. All the way to South Africa as his shouts of "Merry Christmas" reached my ears.

The close-up on the head enhances the composition, the details are very nice and sharp and the light shining on its face is gorgeous.
