[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While I was out shooting clouds that looked like they were pregnant with snow, it did indeed start to snow just a wee. On my way back to the house I noticed that one of the remnants of a wild carrot seedpod, which looked like a catcher's mitt, had just caught a small flake. I tried to get the white snow offset against the forest on the island ... It was a pretty dull scene at that time, almost a black and white moment.

portent of snow against a stark background.
