Birch trees stands.
Birch bark in the days of old was used in the construction of canoes by the North American Natives. They also used it for arts and crafts. The trees today is used for firewood in wood stoves.
This stand of trees had some good spotlighting on them which was the reason for this capture. What makes a stand of trees interesting when photographing is the different sizes and shapes.
Just a nature shot.

Yes Mike this is a nicely composed shot with accurate DOF. Good showing of the bark textures and nice detail even in the shadows...well done.

Do North Americans still have wood stovesw, hard to believe that with todays advanced state of the world. Anyway, I like this shot. The trees are well shown here with good notes. Well done

Great shot Mike. I like birches very much, one of most beautiful trees. What I like on your shot is spots of light on trees and very summer mood.

I love your birch. It's my favourite tree! Your look very encouraging to relax!

Nice composition, what is the brown trace on the top of the tree? It looks like a hidden squirrel.
Well done.

Hi Old Eagle Eye, I see you had a near bird's eye view of these tree trunks, well done, a unique POV and great texture too, Love it!

Hey mike, simple, but beautiful!i like how the light falls on the trees.very good comp, leading the eye into the forest.colours are good too.well done!

Nice leading lines and great light, Mike. Its a scene I have not captured and would love to get it like this. Well done.

I love birch trees, and I thought my birch tree grew strangely. This group seems to be going every which way. I love the lighting you have here and the green trees in the background. Well done. I also like the framing it compliments the trees well.
