The simple composition and limited palette really showcase these ice covered berries. We have only had serious freezing rain once since I moved here and once is enough...even though the photo ops were special. Man that stuff is treacherous. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Donna

I love seeing hoare frosts. We don't get them in the North Island of New Zealand, but some locations in the South Island have them every winter. Good colours and perfectly composed shot. Wonderful camera work. TFS.

Hi Donna! Striking capture of those berries! I was out this morning here in Wainfleet taking shots of the trees and bushes too, but the clouds kept moving over the sun. I'd go inside, out would come the sun. Way too cold to be standing around out there! Hope your power wasn't off--ours was.

I'm still waiting on some winter weather....:( This is a beautiful capture. Excellent work on the focus, since ice seems to screw around with the AF a lot. The strong red colors really makes the scene wonderful.

Ten cuidado con la pérdida de calidad en el post procesado, ya que tu imagen sólo tiene 84Kb. contra los 200Kb. permitidos en TN.

I love the iceformations on each one of the branches with excellent takeoff of the diffuse bottom.
Appropriate conjunction among the point of view captured with the elected framing for their publication.
Be careful with the loss of quality in the post processed, since your image only has 84Kb. against the 200Kb. allowed in TN.

Very well seen and taken. I like the compo and details. Somehow I feel that the photo could benefit from an +1 stop in exposure to make the colors "pop". Well done.

Nice to meet you!
I am impressed with this shot of a freezing scene. There is good colour reproduction and you have got a great point of view. The detail is clear against the out of focus background. The ice crystals are amazing however I think the shot needs to be angled as they are not falling vertically at the moment and I think they ought to! I have done a quick worskhop to see what I could do.
