[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
as a beaver, I have been all year round learning and sharing.
I did not plan posting today, but than Loot reminded me that today was my anniversary here at TrekNature.
A whole year its been already, time flies when you having a good time. I truly enjoy beein here and sharing my pictures. I learned plenty in this year and thank you all for that.
I was not sure what picture I should share today, but this one made the cut. As I think meeting the beaver yesterday was on of the biggest highlights being out in the nature and taking photographs.
The picture was taken at Coots Paradise in Burlington Ontario. The beaver was chewing on this fallen tree on the waters edge. I was about 3 meter above him on the pathway. He saw me but did not seem to be bothered, so I could take a few shots of him.

Thanks for all your encouragments throughout the year.

Hi Sky

Another great shot of your beaver friend. It was obviously a wonderful moment for you to be touched by nature in this very personal way. The beaver must have ‘realised’ that these shots would get him into the TN annals thereby allowing you so close by and letting you take the photos (chuckle).

Congratulations on your first anniversary. It has been an eventful year and you have shared a whopping 197 of your lovely photos with us. Thanks for all your contributions and for your commitment to this site. Hopefully the next year will be just as exiting and with even more moments to share.

This posting is proverbial of your portfolio i.e. interesting, neat, well executed, and full of variation. The colours are good, the details are sharp, the trees reflecting on the water surface makes for an interesting BG effect, and the exposure was well controlled.

Good work and TFS.
Regards
Loot

PS. Tomorrow is my anniversary. Wow, how time has flown past.

Loot is such a dear, Sky! How nice of him to remind you that you have completed one full year as an active memeber of TN today!
Hope he reminds me too (and soon) unless he is partial to the girls only :-)!
This is a very touching image of the beaver you have posted today on your anniversary as a member. Even his whiskers seem to have frozen!
Thanks and wish you another successful year on TN.

Hello Sky, good pov. and great capture, happiness for your anniversary, and for your beautiful pictures, greetings

I think I like this one even better than the last. I am SO surprised that he didn't scamper away as soon as he became aware of you. I would love to get a shot like this. I think it is wonderful. The ice adds another layer of interest.

Congratulations on your first anniversary.

Hello Sky,
This is my hard worker friend again!!! Happy anniversary to you and your beautiful subject :) This is another great capture of this little guy and I really envy you to have such a nice and interesting creature in your gallery. I guess that you already knew it but I learned that beavers don't have the choice to work if not, their teeth will grow too much and they will not be able to eat. This is a strange life. They are predestinated to work and work all their life :) Thanks,
Claudine

Hola Sky,

Hi Sky, to actually catch this guy in the act is amazing. He was very cooperative. You have a very good shot here. It's the closest wild beaver shot I've seen, and on ice yet. With it you have excellent detail and colour, right down to the ice on his whiskers.

Thanks, and happy anniversary (and many more), John

Hi Sky,
Excellent capture from a very good pov. Details, light and composition are perfect.

bonjour sky
bon anniversaire sur TN
une jolie capture,j'aime bien ce castor qui ne semble pas avoir peur de vous.
j'ai eu l'occasion de voir un ragondin nager sur la riviere mais pas d'appareil avec moi;
le ragondin est un cousin du castor.

Hi, Sky.
I wrote here critics yesterday. Today I see this has disappeared. And my useful mark was still here. I have lost myself dozens of critics. It starts to be strange already. Ok. once more.
Interesting animal for my eye. Good exposure and details. Well composed and good POV.

Hallo Sky,
Peter

Hello Sky nice catch the beaver certainly looks busy good detail and sharpness TFS this wonderfull image rgds Necip.

Another great shot! I would love to get a photo of one of these critters. I enjoy reading history on the fur trade era of North America. And it was actually the beaver that had the most impact on the setteling of North America, men looking for riches selling the beaver pelts for fine beaver hats to the rich in Europe. Don

Hi Sky. Good capture of this busy beaver. Excellent clarity and colours. Interesting note about how you took this image. Murray.

Sky , this looks like busby with a face! Or a face with a busby! ;) Where is the famous tail?

I feel like that beaver today! I was "chewing up" wood that came down during Hurricane Juan, several years ago...
A buddy is clearing the mess on his land so I was out there getting what I can for the winter...
just like Mr./Ms. Beaver here!

Great PoV, tfs, ;j.

PS Congrats on the milestone!
