You are so lucky to have a wildlife in your backyard and also to have the opportunity to work at home.
This is really a beautiful capture, with great details and a wonderful pose. I've seen the Red Cardinal back in Atlanta, but never saw this species. I really like the difference of the colors of her coat.

Another wonderful capture from you!
This is a terrific blend - a little work, then a little photography...and the result is impeccable!
The POV here is outstanding and it shows this beautiful cardinal female in all its glory! Splendid well saturated colors, delightful details and composition.
The DOF chosen here is great, too and it blurres the BG nicely.

Hola Claudine.- Otra bella foto de este hermoso "Cardenal" Son muy atractivos sus tonos de colores en rojo y amarillo. Su pico me agrada mucho al igual que su mechon en la cabeza. Foto muy nitida y con exelente luz y alto nivel de contraste. Aun no he tenido la oportunidad de lograr ua foto de esta especie de aves, sin embargo voy a trabajar en ello. I'd trade you some of my Titmice for some of your more cooperative cardinals...;-)
My wife brought the cardinal from yesterday to my attention. He just stoically sat there in the snow for the longest time. That titmouse today, I just plain got lucky: right place at the right time, and I was ready.
This is a beautiful pose this "little girl" has given you here. And, it looks like you took full advantage of it with an excellent compositon!

What a pretty little Cardinal 'girl', Claudine!
What about that global conference of TNers you once mentioned with your backyard as venue :-)?
With visitors such as these coming to your backyard, I wouldn't mind disposing off my new Nikon to buy myself a return ticket and attend the conference :-)!
After all, I still have my poor old point-and-shoot to 'cover' the conference!

Well, isn't this a beautiful bird.
I love the isolation and the focus here. I am used to seeing birds with ID bracelets on because I usually take mine at the zoo!! :)
I got a new lens (Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 IS) and I want you to know that me and Scott Evers will be teaming up to compete with your beautiful bird shots when I get back to the States. Evers has a head start with his trip to Florida. A 100-400 IS....holy crap! It might be tougher than I thought!
I would take that as a compliment.....you are a great photograher!
