[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Cardinalis cardinalis 7½-9″ (19-23 cm). Male: An all-red bird with a pointed crest and a black patch at the base of its heavy, triangular red bill. Female: Buff-brown, with some red on the wings and tail. The crest, dark face, and heavy red bill are distinctive. Immature: Similar to the female, but with a blackish bill (see Pyrrhuloxia, , and Hepatic Tanager, ).

This is a great photo, but you really should have less space on the right, and more on the left. Even though we cannot see what the bird sees, it balances the photograph. Otherwise, it is a great photo!

Magnificent capture of this Cardinal.
This bird has a singular beauty, that can be enjoyed with good and sharp details.
You had an excelent ligh there, very good managed with your right exposition.
The issue about the compostion, perhaps it could have been helpful to crop at right.

Very sharp details and well saturated colors on this cardinal, Mircea.
Good control of the exposure in this tricky situation (snow).
The red shows up beautifully against the white snow.
I wonder if a couple of steps to the left might have given you a uniform snowy BG.
