[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It was a active glacier a few decades ago. Today, just the snow from the last winter remain. No more ice...
Taken by helicopter over the southern rockys montains in Canada with a open window for better shots.

Is global warming true ?

Bonjour Frank,
You present us today a magnificent view of this mountains.
The high POV is so good to be able to appreciate the former glacier and the lagoon.
The composition is really good, the view goes through the valley until the far mountains.
I like so much the way the color of the mountains changes with distance.
I think is a very good picture. Congratulations!
Thanks for share and my best regards,
JM

Hi Frank,
I'm surprised that this picture hadn't more impact. What you show here is of great importance. I come from a mountain area too, with a lot of glaciers becoming smaller and smaller. There are our water reserves and what happens afterward? Yes, global warming is unfortunately true. Apart of that, your picture is well taken and I like the view on the different valleys in the back.
Best regards
Anne

Welcome aboard Frank!

What an arial shot. And yes apparently we are seeing Global Warming in action. Even neo-eco Harperoni wants to "do something"...

Amazing how the glacier had scoured out a "slide" here!

Tfs, J.

Hi Frank. Good to meet another Rock-jock! This composition is good from this perspective in a chopper gives the best of the lot usually. Good wide u -shaped valley shown well. The only sad part is the global warming as you mention. Maybe our crazy weather is part of the effect. TFS. Murray.
