[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little male downey woodpecker provides much amusement in his climbing and hanging abilities. Those encrusted looking feet are so superbly positioned to hang in any direction on tree limbs, metal poles, feeders, eaves, underhung soffits. His soft tapping as he digs into the suet is a very nice distraction in the quiet morning. We've moved the feeder away from the porch, and hopefully away from Fred, the sneaky cat!

nice pose good focus but a tad too bright.

Hi Linda,
nice subject matter. The red patch really shows up well.Did you use your flash on this one?It seems to be overexposed.TFS. Bob

Hi Linda,
this feeder sure attracks a lot of wonderful birds. Cute how this woodpecker nalances on the feeder and you captured it well. Nice POV and very nice sharpness. You had difficult lighting but managed it quite well.

Hello Linda,
I have two cats chasing birds and I have so many of them here too :-) I hope that they can get used to each other very soon :) So far, I didn't notice much carnage.

I haven seen so many of those birds recently, they must nesting near by. I like them as they are so little and agile. I like this pose you capture but I must say that the white is a little overexposed and you could (maybe?) have chosen another POV to get rid of this pole in foreground. The details are nice in good composition. They are lovely birds! Thanks,
Claudine
