I previously uploaded a picture of a wasp nest(one in the ground),today I have for you a picture of a tree wasp nest. This nest was about 25-30 feet up from the ground and was kinda hard to get a good shot of.These really are remarkable things when you stop and think about it.They are exposed to wind, rain, hail and even snow and being made of basically paper remarkably tough in their construction. The photo was resized and sharpen slightly with Paint.Net. Hi Bob
I think wasp nests are a piece of art. I have heard if you leave coloured paper out the wasps will build their nest with what ever colours you leave out. Now that would be a very unique capture to find a rainbow coloured nest LOL.

Hello Bob

I once was walking through the woods and ripped into one of these wonders of nature when I bent a branch back...OUCH x 4.Captured very well, with nice natural colour and good focus.TFS

Rob

That's a pretty good sized wasp nest there Bob. The BG highlights are a bit distracting though.

Bob, shooting an object < birdt have , fruit, nest , flower, what have you > in or against a tree with light shimmering thru is always tricky... Less light areas will be better.

I think waspnests have amazing patterns on the material, and deserve to be seen up close... I have tried a WS for you.

Hope you like, Jay
