[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Looking almost directly south from Elk Mountain there is a commanding view of Border Peaks. The slightly lower right summit is in Canada, and the slightly higher summit to the
left is in Washington State in the U.S.
The ridge in the left foreground is known as Spencer Ridge; another one of my winter playgrounds. Spencer peak is the small knob directly below the Canadian Border Peak.
We've camped just to the right and below Spencer Peak and have posted a few shots from that vantage point back in April of last year.

Really astonishing picture, Tim. Very good pov, nice details and good colour. This must have been a very nice experience to be looking at a scenery like that.

Hi Tim,

excuse me whilst i wipe away the drool from my mouth after looking at your shot! Awesome scenery! Great composition and lighting, i love the colour of the sky and the end of the tree line shows us how high those peaks are.

Must get back up into the mountains soon!

Hi Tim,
The band of blue sky in this photo really made the view spectacular. It is beautiful to see almost the same color reappear in the shades of the mountain. The composition is really wonderful, with the peak nicely offset from the center and the rest of the mountains all pointing toward it. The soft light gave the entire photo a nice warm touch.
