This is the same North American Red Squirrel from my other post. He was approaching the cookie crumbles he had spotted a few moments before.
I like the way its tail resembles a lit fuse, it describes exactly the expectative mood I was in while taking this photo (I hoped to catch the jump, but... the "explosion" took me by surprise). |

Nice shot, but the lighting did you no favors. Background and tail are over exposed.

A really lovely shot of a really cute little critter. As Wally said, the lighting did you no favours, but had you tried to correctly expose the tail and b/ground, the rest would have been too dark. You made the correct exposure here in my opinion. Well done.
