[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Eastern Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) is a tree squirrel that is native to the eastern to midwestern United States and the eastern provinces of Canada. The species name carolinensis refers to the Carolinas, where they were first recorded by zoologists, and are still extremely common.
The Eastern Grey has also been introduced into a variety of locations on the west coast of North America, including San Francisco and the Peninsula area of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties south of the city. At the turn of the 20th century it was introduced into South Africa and England, spreading across the latter and then invading both Wales and parts of southern Scotland where it has almost exclusively displaced the population of the native Red Squirrel. It has also been introduced to Italy, and the European Union is concerned that the grey squirrel will displace the Red Squirrel from parts of the European continent, as well.
The Eastern Grey Squirrel is common throughout most of its natural range and wherever it has been introduced. It readily becomes tolerant of humans and learns to take food left or offered by picnickers.(wikipedia.com)

Hi Mircea,
Lovely photo of this beautiful squirrel. I really like the composition and POV, with the squirrel poking his head out from behind the tree. Good details and colours. Maybe could be a tad sharper. Well captured!

A great pose of that squirrel.
Love the big panache of a tail behind his head.
Very alert expression and pose with wonderful catchlight in the eye.
Excellent focus and DOF.
TFS. ; )

Hi Mircea

A great pose. Nice POV with very good catchlight. The OOF BG compliments the shot nicely! :-)

Excelenta compozitie, nici sa fi vrut si nu gaseai o postura mai frumoasa a veveritei. Probabil ca a stat in aceasta pozitie cateva secunde. Frumoase detaliile si culorile, iar lumina e cat se poate de buna. Bravo. Cezar.

Hi Mircea

Great pose and sharpness in this shot. Love the blurred background and the great eyecontact. Excellent shot.

The Grey Squirrel has become something of a hate figure in the UK - one visits my garden regularly and it not even the right habitat where I live. I have only seen a wild Red Squirrel once and that was on an island in Scotland.

Hola Mircea
Una foto interesante desde el punto de vista de la composición y de la simpatía del animalito. Es una foto muy adorable.
Mis felicitaciones.
Un saludo

Bonjour,
Ce petit écureuil semble bien vif.
Bonne journée.

Hello Mircea a very nice pose and composition the light looks good might consider some neat image or noise ninja on the background excellent catchlight points tomorrow by the way I did a workshop. well done rgds Necip

Hi Mircea,
Great POV to do this capture!
I like so much the "surprised" pose of the squirrel, who seems to be so prudent while looking at you.
It's very good the composition made, formed with the excellent pose of the animal and the inclination of the tree.
Congratulations and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Very effective composition with the diagonal tree trunk and the curious squirrel. Focus dead on, and sharpness is excellent. Very well done. Hakan
